Whats that term for when two things are opposite? Like mutually…something…?
When the relationship is either one or the other. I need to use the phrase but I just cant remember what it is.

“mutually exclusive” – it means each one “excludes” the other.
The other term you might want is “oxymoron”. This means two words that are used together but don’t make sense, like “joyfully depressed”, “slightly pregnant”, etc.

Mutually exclusive, I think? Contradictory, where two things are unable to be true at once? Maybe that’s the phrase you’re looking for, it’s the only thing that comes to mind. Hope this helps. 🙂
