an adjective that describes a person who feels like they are better than other people for reasons that are usually a matter of opinion (so basically it is impossible to say which person is truly better)
Example: that person is so _______, they think that they’re better than me because I don’t listen to the same music as them.
I was thinking pretentious but I looked it up and it didn’t seem to fit, maybe I didn’t understand the definition though

the one word that came to mind to fit your definition,esp the fact that it’s really only a matter of taste (or opinion as you stated) is”deluded”. but there is probably an exact word for this type of delusion. does this even make sense to you?
