I heard many ppl say this expression “no kidding.” What does that exactly mean? And when do they use it? Thanks a bunch in advance.

To “kid” means to joke (like talking to a kid). “No kidding” or “I kid you not” are expressions that mean “I’m serious, this is not joking.”

Edit: What John said is correct, that’s another use of the phrase.

Definition one: The term “kidding” means making a joke. Therefore “No Kidding?” means “Are you joking?”.

Definition two: “No Kidding” is also known as “NK!” This is a social group for couples that don’t want children, for wich I am a member – http://www.nokidding.net/

A reaction expressing mild surprise at what someone has said, as though the original speaker might not be serious in what he/she has related.

As above, but it can also be used sarcastically, as when one person states something obvious as if it were surprising.

For example:

Person 1: Gee, this water is really wet!

Person 2 (sarcastically): No kidding!
