As I said in my answer to your previous question, it’s brother-in-law. This term can be used for the brother of my wife, or the husband of my wife’s sister, or the husband of my sister.

Colloquially, some might refer to them as a brother-in-law. Technically he’s just your sister-in-law’s husband.

broth·er-in-law – noun. pl. broth·ers-in-law

1.The brother of one’s spouse.

2.The husband of one’s sister.

3.The husband of the sister of one’s spouse.

brother-in-law

– sister’s husband: the husband of somebody’s sister

– spouse’s brother: the brother of somebody’s husband or wife

– spouse’s sister’s husband: the husband of the sister of somebody’s husband or wife

From these definitions it seems he is your brother-in-law.

i always thought it was your brother in law, but someone told me that in actuality you are not really related at all, and there is no special term for it. I thought that was really weird.

i would still use brother in-law myself.
