So
3X+2Y=100
which means X number of cartons multiply with 3 rackets and so on.
X+Y=38 because the total num of cartons are 38.

X+Y=38
so X=38-Y
substitute that X=38-Y into the first equation:
3(38-Y)+2Y=100
114-3Y+2Y=100
114-100=Y
Y=14
IF Y=14, THEN X=24
24×3=72
14×2=28
72+28=100
