There is some debate about details, but most are agreed on.

A good basic list goes something like this:

– Determiners (‘the, these, my…’)

– Quantity

– Quality (= opinion, observation… more subjective)

PHYSICAL FEATURES

– Size

– Shape

– Age

– Color

– Origin (may =Nationality)

– Material (made from)

– Type, purpose

The first may be the most convenient, the second is much more detailed AND includes some notes about which adjectives are more-or-less ‘fixed’ in order, and which may sometimes move.
