Im writing this paper and its the perfect metaphor. Is there a less colloquial version?

This cracked me up, since I’ve never heard the colloquial version used.
Is the term used for someone who thwarts forward progress or perhaps for someone who pushes his way into business not his own? Or is it someone who presents himself too forcefully?
Or maybe I took the deleted part too literally, and it is a woman who does one of the above or acts counter to culturally normed gender roles.
I’d love to know. Maybe if you could add a note, I could come up with something, but now I’m just laughing at the visual.
