What does this sentence mean to you?
I dont even know what it means, I was writing a story in a quick, nonthinking way and I scribbled this sentence and im wondering if it makes sense or not. Im not even sure what the word ‘closure’ means but this is the sentence:
“…something was attacking her mind and seeking closure, but her mind would simply not allow it.”
What does this sentence mean to you (if it does work that is)? I was mostly wondering if the last line made sense in any way…

It makes sense to me. Closure means to resolve something, or to end something, to close something up, to finish. Something attacking her mind: perhaps as unresolved emotion, or unsettled dilema, or unanswered question, or a deceptive voice instigating temptation? I guess it depends on what context you are using this statement in. The sentence before it would play an important role in making this one flow into a sensible idea. But it does make sense that something was attacking her mind and seeking to finish or complete some purpose, but that her mind would not allow it to. From just the one sentense it seems to me that the “something” would be some reasoning, perhaps given by another in consolation, to resolve a conflict that the person is not emotionally, or maybe logically ready to accept. Just the idea that poped my head when I read it. Of course there are countless other possibilities.

It makes perfect sense. Here is the way I read it:
A troubling memory keeps trying to resurface in her mind. It wants to be dealt with (to gain closure). But it is too emotional for her to re-live the memory, so she is trying to block it out.

Yes, I think it does. To me it means there was something in the back of her mind trying to get through to give her a solution…or a conclusion to a problem, …the last part of the sentence could make a little better sense if it was something like….”but her mind could not quite grasp it”.or …:”but she couldn’t quite grasp what it was…”….etc…..you do work out problems in your sub-conscious first…then it comes to the surface of you mind.

The girl or woman was thinking. She had an idea, or an alien entity, was entering her thought process. It was trying to become part of her total viewpioint of life, connected to how she usually thought, but she resisted incorporating that idea into her total life view.
Yes, it makes sense.

I think it means she is trying to find closure, but just can’t for some reason or another.
