alliteration- this means that you are using words with the same beginning letter like “ten tiny toads titter”

hyperbole- Hyperbole means extreme exageration

imagery- that means the author describes something really well like “The sun arose shining gold across the slowly waving corn fields”

Onomatopoiea- it is like a sound effect at the beginning of a sentance or story like “Zoom! Nick whizzed by”

Personification- Giving human traits to nonhuman things like “The siren screamed and moaned”

simile- Using like or as to describe two things

onomatopoiea is when the word sounds like what it means like buzz.

alliteration is a repetition of consonant sounds in words.

hyperbole is an exaggerated statement to evoke feelings.

imagery is a series of words that creates a picture.

Personification is attaching human characteristics to non human things.

simile is a comparisan using two unlike things using words “like”, “as”, “than”
