Educated, to me, means you’ve had exposure to more than just the mundane, you’ve been challenged or challenged yourself to think about various ideas, facts, theories, possibilities, etc., and you have absorbed at least some of this exposure and challenging thought process and incorporated it into your very own system of beliefs and learning.

Different translations of the bible would suggest love and charity are synonmus. Examples found in.1st Corrinthians ch. 13 vs. 1-17 illustrate this many times. I would enjoy hearing from a scholar of the languages used in those past times to clarify my understanding. The story of the “World’s Poorest Philanthropist”, Gilbert “Harold” Ewing II (myself) is the reason for this querry. The ” act of grace”, or charity, reffered to in the news interview, has posited this question and I lack the sort of education to provide any insights of true value.

An educated person is anyone who has gained a certain amount of knowledge which people know and understand at a global level and can use it to get a proper job, that is a job which doesn’t depend on manual labour.

So basically, if you know anything that is benificial at a high degree, your educated.

That is what the world thinks. I don’t really care about this.

To me, a smart person is someone who is curious, thinks in different perspectives and has a lot of logic and thinking skill.

There are different levels that one can be educated. Certainly an academic education is one of them. Being a doctor or lawyer or engineer are specialized types of education.

But education, to me, includes other forms as well. It comes from experiencing life on many levels. It’s the person who seeks to make sense of the world through reading and interacting with others. An educated person learns from every experience he or she has in life AND makes good use of that experience.

So, an educated person not only acquires knowledge but applies it to better himself or others, in the same way that a doctor uses his medical knowledge to make you well.

An educated person doesn’t have to have years and years of formal education to be educated. A willingness to constantly learn and apply that knowledge is what makes a person educated.

Finally, an educated person is not rigid in his thinking. He is willing to look at all sides of an argument and is tolerant of views different than his own. He may not agree with others but he knows that his knowledge is based on knowing how and what others think. He expands his own thinking and education by listening to others.

The second part is correct, but other factors to consider are:

educated may mean finishing high school. in Job application.

and some may be born with skills in art, music, math, etc. To

which seem to come naturally without special training.

I found out at an early age that I had a talent in art.

I used to read comic books. When I would finish one. I would

always draw the cover, before trading it away. I also started

painting by numbers, and advanced in doing all painting:-})

An educated person is one who can deal and cope with their life.

An educated person living in a city is Massachusetts is not the same thing as an educated person living on a farm in Iowa. I am sure you can add example after example.

An EDUCATED person has enough knowledge to share with others in a genuine way and keeps gaining more to continue doing so.This has no real link to the Degrees he/she holds.

IMO, educated is someone who seeks and absorbs knowledge for their own self. Also, thinking broadly and logically can help to attain self-education.
