What does the name Emileigh mean?
ok so yeah, thats my name also pronounced Emily for the slow ones (kidding) and i just think that that type of spelling is becoming popular (Ashleigh, Kaileigh, things like that) and i was wondering if my name had a specific meaning, not the Emily meaning but MY meaning. are they the same or different? Could any one answer that for me?

Emi = beautiful, blessed (from Japanese).
Leigh = meadow (from Old English)
So, if you combine the two definitions, Emileigh should mean a beautiful meadow.

Well… Leigh comes from the Old English word ‘leah’, which means ‘meadow’. I suppose you could combine the meaning of Emily (‘rival’, from the Latin word ‘aemulus’) and Leigh, for your name. 🙂
