The problem with text abbreviations and Leet-speak is that as evolving languages there are few universally accepted standards. Thus communication is compromised as intent is unclear.

ROFL is accepted as “Roll On Floor Laughing” but your example has a second ‘f’ in place of the ‘o’. This may be a typographical error or a completely different meaning. Sometimes examining the keyboard for letter adjacent those printed helps clarify this.

Further the “<3" may be a word/ idea substitute or a pictograph of whistling or wind blowing. Who can tell? If communication is unclear, what justification has it?
