I am not a clinical social worker, but have interacted with them. From what I understand, there are many options/settings for an LCSW (licensed clinical social worker). You can work in an independent psychiatric company, work in collaboration with a hospital/medical facility, or even work for a hospice. The earning potential is probably equivalent to your motivation.
