If you see it, how do you know it’s not there?

Is this a riddle?

We moved into our sister s house that was across the street from a very inhabited graveyard. It was sad to look at. I slept on the couch one night and it was dark I look up and I felt something in my face breathing on me. I didn t think anything of it until my son wakes me up about 3:16 he said “mommy who is that man? , I looked and didn t see anything. I told him to go back to bed then he screamed bloody murder “mommy no stop he s going to hurt you he s going to get us”. I then turn on the lights and see this black silhouette of a man with like a top hat on. I yell at the top of my lungs ” leave my baby alone i ll beat your ***”. After that my sister s dogs died the fish dies all three turtles. All in the same night. I think it s a bad omen or something be careful.

Maybe a figure of speech

Or an illusion

or hallucination

or a spirit!

Could be a ghost or death

did the area turn cold where you saw the dark figure ?

if so it could be a ghost.

It could mean you need a complete medical examination. Blood sugar imbalance can cause hallucinations. Other physical and/or mental conditions can cause this disturbing phenomenon too. If your question is serious, please get help.

If you see it, how can it not be there? You may have a spirit living with you.

If you’re looking for the word to describe it, how about “illusion”? Or maybe “phantasm” or “will-o’-the-wisp”?
