someone left a comment on my facebook saying “your such a tool” but i dont know what it means haha

It means you are a douche bag. One of those type of guys that everyone laughs at once they leave the room.

It has a variety of meanings, depending on who’s speaking and the tone of their voice–not that one can sense that from the text content.
It can mean anything from fool (in which case it’s ‘rhyming slang’) or idiot to pr**k.
It’s been around since at least the 1960’s when I was caled that a few times.
Look online for a slang dictionary, or for the Urban Dictionary. Plenty of choice cuss words in that one.
