What does illicit mean?
What does illicit mean? I read an article recently that was talking about somebody doing something that was perfectly legal, so rather than calling it illegal, they called it illicit. What does that mean? If something is legal, what makes it illicit?

The word illicit in fact means unlawful.It is,however ,generally used to denote such action which shocks the conscience of the society,whether legal or otherwise.
