Discourse is a discussion or a debate, but in literature, it’s generally not between two or more people — it’s one side of an argument. One writer gives exposition on theories or ideas or discoveries or events. There’s not much “back-and-forth,” but the writing to be an incredibly long justification of something the writer caused, believes, witnessed, or took part in. Most literary discourses tend to be incredibly boring as they are more often than not self-serving by nature.

After imparting that knowledge if he is given a spoon of sugar for him to eat and realise what sweetness is the understanding he gets is the True one! The Scriptures themselves say, Abhyaasam (learning), Dhyaanam (mental recall), Nidhidhyaasanam (constant brooding over the logic), Anubhavam (doing saadhana and realisation) and swanubhavam (metabolisation of knowledge in every aspect of Self) as the proper successive means for learning.
