One definition is :
“a habitual or characteristic manner, mode, or way of doing something; distinctive quality or style, as in behavior or speech: Example: He has an annoying mannerism of tapping his fingers while he talks.”
Another example I can think of is if someone plays with their hair a lot or uses a certain word all the time.
