RE:
what does cyclic behavior mean?
2. The tension starts to build, and the abuser becomes critical and rude.
3. The abuser escalates his or her mood to stronger means of abuse like cursing and calling names toward the victim
4. The abuser escalates even more by hitting or shoving the victim.
5. The abuser calms and apologizes and the “honeymoon stage” begins all over again
That’s just one example of “cyclic behavior” I hope that helps.
Cyclic loading is a series of loads a system is put through that repeats. This is usually used for fatigue fracture analysis. The cycle would be the set of loads being used. For example, to figure out the fatigue fracture behavior of a coat hanger, you would apply a load in one direction, then apply the same load in the opposite direction, then repeat. This would be your cycle. After a number of cycles, the coat hanger would fail.
