Here’s my interpretation:

To take a guess, costs you nothing. You will often not be penalized in any way for just making a guess at something; therefore, guess is cheap.

However, if you guess wrong, you may pay a hefty price. That is, a wrong guess is often “costly,” (excuse the pun) and you often face negative consequences for a wrong guess at something; hence, “to guess wrongly is expensive.”

It doesnt cost you anything to guess at something but it will cost you in the long run if your guess is wrong..

Kinda like if you guess you can go a little farther with your gas needle on the “E” in your car and you end up pushing it or worse yet calling a tow truck because you were wrong…

This quote applies to the field of architecture. It talks about how guessing is easy, but if it’s a wrong guess, you’ll have to deal with lawsuits and repair costs…you have to be pinpoint accurate when building things!

It means to think carefully before acting (or speaking) — despite how easy it seems to just have an opinion. Because the consequences can be far reaching.

To guess cost you nothing unless the guess is wrong…in that case it could cost you alot!
