Debris was falling from the sky all around me.

saw a large chunk of material separate from the hovering sphere above me and quickly accelerate toward our get-away car. The children grabbed our dog, I grabbed my Dr. Pepper from on top of my car, and I slammed the car into gear. At that moment the object struck the earth with such force, our car was catapulted 20 feet into the air and landed on top of our next door neighbor’s 10 foot tall bushes. Grateful for the soft landing, we jumped from the car and took shelter inside my neighbor’s house as the debris slowed to a stop and I was able to call you to let you know.

And that’s why I”m not going to be able to come into work today.
