I think you mean ‘pronounce’ rather than ‘spell’. To say the letter ‘R’ in a word depends on where in the word it is situated. If it’s at the beginning like in the word ‘red’ then purse your lips as if saying ‘when’ but raise your tongue inside your mouth slightly, raising the outsides until they touch the roof of your mouth and just say it. If you have difficulty try saying silently in your mind ‘urr red’ but do not say the ‘ur’ bit out loud. When the letter is in the middle of a word such as perfect do similar with your tongue as you reach the letter. If ending a word, such as bender, hold the ‘r’ sound a little longer so it’s like benderrr.
