In writing a persuasive essay, is it okay to use the words “in my opinion”?

Usually not: if you want to speak in first person, you’ll probably want to start with “I”, such as “I feel,” or “I believe”

NO!! never say “in my opinion” or “i believe” or “i think”

that makes you sound unsure…and no one wants to be persuaded by an unsure person.
