Oh,no! My bicycle was stolen. I remember leaving it here.?

Does the sentence mean that , the bicycle is now not stolen anymore. should the sentence rather be “my bicycle is stolen” in the same context.

The person knows where he left his bike and since it’s now gone, he realizes it was stolen.
