Is the DMV permit test in California difficult?

it was when I moved there in 1996. It took me all 3 tries before I passed (I think 3 was the max number of tries allowed in any one day). I studied too.
There are a lot of multiple choice questions with ever so slightly different answers. They also have at least 3 different versions of the test, so even if you got a copy of one off the internet somewhere, there’s no guarantee you would get the same one when you went.
I would think all DMVs in California would follow the same procedure and use the same tests, so I don’t think it matters where you go, although some may be less busy than others and get you in quicker.
Study well, and you should do OK

The DMV test you take for your permit is your written test for your license. If you study the book and take your time, you should do fine. Remember to read the words carefully. They may try to trip you up with a question that is worded funny. Don’t be nervous. Nerves are your worst enemy.

No. I heard that the permit test in California is one of the hardest. Take it somewhere else. Well, I took it in California and passed with -8. They let you miss up to 8, but I’m not sure if that rule changed to only 6 or 7. Not only that, but if you took the class, most teachers give you the answers to everything. I still have a copy of my test if you need help. *hint hint* lol. Don’t worry. you get 3 tries. =)

30 questions The online dmv motorcycle handbook and the physical dmv handbook is exactly the same. Any answer you need to know is in the book. Its only about motorcycle riding procedures and safety.

no-the permit test is the same everywhere b/c it’s written. It’s multiple choice, so just study/memorize the book they give you and you’ll be fine.

well i took it in utah and it was kinda east i got 80% but just read ur book and then search on the internet practice dmv tests and you should be fine!
