It depends on the statement it is in. You could say. ” We are going to eat turkey on Christmas” I would only use the “At Christmas” if you added the word “time” after it. ex. At Christmas Time we usually get snow.

Basically “at Christmas” refers to the season of Christmas.

“On Christmas” is used to refer to a specific day or event.

Americans might say “I’ll be in Orlando at Christmas time”, adding the word “time”.

If we used the words “on Christmas”, we would probably add the word “Day”, ie, “I’ll be in Orlando on Christmas Day.”

Another way we say it is “for Christmas”, ie, “I’ll be in Orlando for Christmas”.

Hope that helps!

“At Christmas” is wrong because that’s basically saying that an event is occuring on that day in the context of a location. “On Chrismas” denotes that an event is occurring on that day.

I guess it all depends on how your sentence is structured.

* At Christmas time…….

or

* On Christmas day I…….
