No, in English, Two “S” simply sound like an “S” when preceeded by a vowel. In another language, I have no idea, but the name will always be pronounced with an “S” in the US. You’d have to correct people all the time.

you would have to correct people but what makes a name is it’s originality… my real name starts with a C and ends with a ua.. and my sons names start with a C and have the sound K….. sometimes it’s frustrating to correct people but you know I am so glad my name is unique… the only thing that is the same in my family is that all the girls have the beginning C and the ending ua… as far as I know I am the only person with this name which growing up gave me the advantage… Instead of being categorized by my name not to offend but such as Erin, Katie, Shelly, Jessica, Christy… I got to be an individual. I did get made fun of at times but my name is what made me who I am today…. I carry a name that is mispronounced daily and I am a very strong and independant woman that still to this day loves my name…. Go with what your heart tells you and I hope this helps your decision…. it shouldn’t matter what or how society thinks your name should be spelled….

Two s’s can make she “sh” sound in words when combined with the dipthong “ion” in words like fission, concussion, compression. It is also seen in other instances such as the word pressure or issue. The key here is what you want. Sure, it’s not 100% to common spelling rules, but if it’s important to you, you can spell it any way you like. The only downside here is the lifelong aggrivation the person will experience with mispronouncements and incorrect spellings, which, if it’s the worst that ever befalls them, they should be considered lucky. =).
