Good luck in teaching the masses what to avoid in every day English. A lot depends on their willingness to set aside old habits and develop new, even awesome traits to follow.
Lots of people care less–which is an awesome amount of the population. Only a specific group may be enlightened.

And while we’re on the topic, how about:
– irregardless (instead of regardless)
– unthaw (instead of thaw)
– needs cleaned (instead of needs to be cleaned, or needs cleaning)
– on accident (instead of by accident)
– should of would of could of (instead of should have would have could have)
