Doesn’t matter how many words you know.

How good you speak.

You are not going to be a native speaker.

I have been in Australia almost 11years.

Always had job as a normal worker work with OZ and deal with English speaker, not as translator or anything like that.

Now I have my own business, all my clients are English speaker.

I don’t have any difficulty communicating with people at all.

Some people treat me like OZ, and some don’t.

Which doesn’t bother me at all.

I have my origin and I am proud of that..

You have to accept you are Chinese.

And should be proud of that.

Don’t even think about pretending you are not Chinese.

No matter how many words you learn, if you do not speak a language from a very young age and speak it in your home environment, you will not be a native speaker.

You might be a native speaker of two languages if you had parents who spoke to you, fluently, in different languages, when you were young. If you also lived, as a child, with others who also spoke to you, fluently, in various languages, you might be a native speaker of several languages.

However, once you are past the crucial language-acquisition phase (there is controversy about the age this happens, but it is generally thought to be ending around 8 or 9 years old), although you might be gifted in languages and become very proficient, you will not likely become equivalent to a ‘native speaker’.

It’s not a question of how many words you know, it’s about the original language you learned growing up (generally, the language spoken in your home). To speak LIKE a native speaker means you not only know the words, but can use them in grammatically correct ways with the right inflection, just like someone who grew up speaking that language.

A native is someone who was born there. It doesn’t matter how many words you learn – if you were not born there you will never be a native speaker. By the way, ‘please’ in any language is a good start when you ask a question.

You should learn a lot of words, but that is not the answer in becoming a native speaker.

You need to know how to put the words together. You need to know the idioms and you need to speak without a foreign accent.

You should learn a lot of words. First, you should learn all of the words that you need to know. Then you should learn all of the extra words. When you are done you will still not speak fluent Chinese, so I would suggest talking to people and if they say a word that you don ‘t know ask them to describe it, so that you can use it too.

i’ve got probably by no ability used fleer, defalcate, bruit, and objurgate. Kvetch, posit, aver, imprecate, predicate, gird, excoriate, confabulate, eschew, ensconce, feckless, feral, phlegmatic, abstemious, sylvan, prolix are all solidly in my lively vocabulary. a number of of them are particularly uncomplicated, like feral, feckless, and eschew. The others are issues I know and could have used yet probably does no longer devoid of a few specific situation. Edit- once you’re writing, you’re able to evaluate what the purpose marketplace could comprehend, so despite if i understand what defalcate ability, i’m unlikely to apply it. BTW, your definition of adumbrate isn’t very stable – it would not have something to do with drawing. Kvetch is substantially utilized in American English yet i could anticipate it does no longer be regarded in uk English. assorted Yiddishisms are uncomplicated in the U. S. yet extremely value someplace else. Bruit is used exceptionally usually in drugs… it is have been given no longer something to to with Nineteen Twenties poetry…
