well, cats are unaffected, but dogs have congenital defects now in most breeds, and are really stupid.

they have provided companionship and love for the many people over the millennia, maybe back then to the dawning of man (if they were intelligent enough and saw them as friends and not meat), some people cannot live without their pets e.g guide dogs, they would die without them. some animals are useful for certain jobs and some just for entertainment. the main point is that we now rely on these animals for some things we cannot do, and without them our lives would be much more difficult.

Animals are subject to all of our disgruntles. If we had a bad day we can just take it out on our cat or dog. Ok, ok just kidding. Or am i?
