Yes, it’s from boxing. The “old one-two” was a simple combination of punches; a left hook followed by a right cross. A good puncher could knock out his opponent; a clever opponent could dodge.

Nowadays, it refers to any sort of simple but effective attack.

yes the onetwo punch is from boxxing…..a left hook followd by a right hook….the left hit makes the brain adjust to the hit but before the brain can figure out in time to stop you from thinkin your spinning ,,,,your hit with the right hand,,,this confuses the brain and it shuts down,,,,causing a knock out
