what could have been a very hard fall.

I am supposed to put the helping verbs and main verbs.

Could have been would be the helping verbs, but i dont know the main verb. would it be fall?

been, is main verb.fall is not used as verb.

EDIt- .As far as the add on, He did not get hurt!. get is the verb, hurt is not used as verb, did, is helping verb.

To hurt someone, hurt, would be the verb.

fall would be the noun. “could have” i think would be the helpers.. and “been” would be the verb
