To have sb do something means that it’s something they are able to do and they are willing to do it, as in “I had John fix the roof last month.”
ooooo ok nvm i read some of the answers SB is somebody lol took me a while lol
“Making the do something is like they have no choice…..having them do something is like giving them a “room” to say NO! lol
Like…
“Go shut the door!”
vs.
“Can I have you go shut the door?!?”
if you’re looking for a good way to say it, maybe use forced, insist, compel, urge… but make is better than have
🙂
Have is used with 3rd form of verb and passive voice.
Make him do that.
Have it done by him.
have is, you did something that made him do the thing..
whereas have is more like “let”.. its softer than make,
i think anyway!
