Does this mean one place?
when someone says ” i am doing some reserch on a place i am going to go visit tomorrow”, does it mean the person is going to go to only one place? or maybe more than one?

This is another a/the question. The use of ‘a place’ indicates that the speaker is going to one or more places, but the research is regarding one of them. If it were ‘the place’, it would indicate one specific place.

One place. You can see it’s only one place by the use of the word “a” before place. Also the word place is singular. If it were more than one place the sentence would read, “I am doing some research on some places I’m going to visit tomorrow.”

It means only what it says. They are RESEARCHING one place they will be visiting. There is no way to tell from their statement that they will be visiting just the one place or more.

it means one place pretty clearly but it also depends on wat events turn up thr(at tat 1 place) which would decide if it would be restricted to 1 place or no bcoz if he or she is doin research then if he finds somethin intrestin leadin him someplace else then he may decide to go an check it out
