Honestly, up to you. Depends. As in who you are asking. You can say anything so long they understand what you intend to say. But grammatically, “Where is my book that I left on the desk?” Good luck!

“Where is my book on the desk?” means that your book is on the desk but you can’t find it. Perhaps it’s under a pile of papers. The question you need is, “Where is my book? It was on the desk.” or something similar.

I think it means where exactly on the desk is the book.

It’s a rather awkward sentance. Maybe try ‘where is the book?’ or ‘where is my book’ or ‘I left my book on the desk, and now i don’t know where it is’

“Where is my book” – is a question itself.

“On the desk” – answers the question itself.

How about, “Is my book sitting on the desk?”

I think it’s 2 questions

1) Where is my book? 2) (is it) on the desk?

All of the above, or, perhaps, “where, on this desk, is my book?”
