Does anyone have this problem on the phone?
when you call and ask for someone the person on the phone says “speaking” and you start talking then they say “I mean, who is speaking?”. Sometimes the opposite happens you call and say “hey can I speak to Sergio?”, the person on the phone says “speaking?” with a tone that says he is asking you. So you say, my name is ____. Then he says “No, I mean this is Sergio speaking, how can I help?”
Why can’t people just say “who is speaking?” or “this is ___ speaking”, instead of just saying “speaking”? then you know which one they mean!!!!
lol, I can’t believe I asked this question
