Do you think there is a difference between an antihero, an unlikely hero, and an attractive villain?

You’re not helping me with my homework (those days are long past!) I actually am curious. Special consideration given to any answer written in the form of dialogue between two people arguing this point! I’m such a nerd!

Yes, there is a difference (sorry, no dialogue).

An antihero is a main character doing something bad, but readers/movie watchers, etc. still want him/her to succeed.

An unlikely hero is a character not stereotypically heroic who is forced into a hero’s role. A farm kid who saves the kingdom. Bilbo Baggins.

An attractive villian is a likable (handsome, charming, whatever) person in conflict with the hero. You still want the hero to win, but feel drawn to the villain.

That’s my take, anyway.

I think (dont know but think)…

1.) An anti-hero attempts to be disconcerned with events that might need fixing.

2.) An unlikely hero wouldn’t normally fit the hero category, but finds himself fixing a situation anyway.

3.) An attractive villian attempts to do things to worsen a situation.

By the way, happy National Comic Book Day. 🙂 September 25th! Its true! lol….
