Try, If he had used more guile…..
labyrinth-the boy was put into a labyrinth and he couldn’t find his way out.
Sounds ok. Grammar structure might need work, but in theory it is correct.
medley-I found the medleys in the Little Mermaid very unique.
See the Labryinth comment.
rapture-i was so rapture in making the steam i forgot about my friends.
I felt so much rapture while I made steam, I had forgotten about my friends.
aloof-the new kids were aloof from the teacher and her classmates.
The new kids were acting aloof towards ……
verge-He was on the verge of falling off the cliff.
Looks good
zephyr-I felt a zephyr while walking to school.
The zephyer flew over me while I was walking to school.
Been out of school for a while, so I hope these work for you.
rapture-I was in rapture while I was making the steam, I forgot all about my friends.
Not the greatest sentences I’ve ever come across but those were the only 2 with gross grammatical errors, as my 10th grade teacher would have said. If you made a GGE your paper was given a D.
guile would be better as: if he had used a little more guile… (the difference is the verb)
medley could be correct, but i’m not sure if you meant it as MELODY (which is the tune of a song) or as medley (which is a bunch of songs all put together) it’s easier to understand as thus: i used a medley of vegetables in my chicken noodle soup.
rapture is more of a feeling of elation: the rapture i felt when i found out i had one the whole contest was unparalleled!
does that help?
guile–If he had used a little guile, then the cops wouldn’t have noticed him leaving.
rapture–you used it in a way that would more likely use the word enraptured. Try this: The view of the mountains on the horizon put me into a state of rapture.
aloof–The new kid was aloof, so her classmates didn’t work too hard to be her friend.
rapture – the movie was extraordinarily good that I was in rapture!
This is the definition from www.askoxford.com
rapture
• noun 1 intense pleasure or joy. 2 (raptures) the expression of intense pleasure or enthusiasm.
So you would “feel rapture”, or talking about “being in rapture”.
I hope this helps.
