This is a clutter of unnecessary words.

In regards to your letter concerning final payment, we accept your assessment of the amount owed and we request that you make payment arrangements without any further delay. Any such delay could be detrimental to future business oppurtunities on our part. Thanks for your expediency.

I agree you should not divulge your financial problems to any outside source as it is none of their business.

We write in response to your letter numbered 007 concerning your assessment of the amount of monies due.

We advise that we do not agree with your assessment of figures and further negotiations are necessary. However, considering the substantial amount outstanding, we trust that you will make an interim payment to reduce your debt with any further delay. We must insist that this payment is sent by return to prevent any further action being taken.

We thank you, in advance, for your compliance with our request and look forward to receiving your payment by return.

Yours faithfully,

………..

There, how’s that? I do not think that you should put in your last sentence as you do not usually discuss your business’ finance situation with others (I have presumed that it is a business situation).

(Don’t tell ’em all your business! and keep it “short and sweet.” Really. It’s a simple, straightforward deal.)
