Can someone please explain the phrase, “don’t drop the soap?”?

It’s a common phrase supposedly said in prisons, but I just don’t get it. I’m a 42 year old male thats never been to prison so I’m “in the dark,” as they say, when it comes to these prison slangs. Thank You!

When you drop the soap, you bend over to pick it up and that allows for anal rape

You have got to be kidding right? Another common thing that “supposedly” happens in prisons is rape. In prison you would presumably be made to take a shower with groups of men some of whom would want to rape you. If you drop the soap it makes it easier for this to happen because you would be bent over naked trying to pick it up.

It suggests that if you are in prison, in a public shower room and you drop your soap, you may get sodomized while doing it. SO DON’T DROP THE SOAP… unless of course your *** is facing the wall.

Simple: if you drop the soap in a “gang shower”, you have to bend over to pick it up. When this occurs, you *** is left exposed and vulnerable to male on male rape.
