can someone list some action and linking verbs?
Favorite Answer
Linking: can generally be substituted by some form of “to be.”
The pie tastes good. The pie is good.
The boy feels tired. The boy is tired.
The boy feels the sandpaper. The boy is the sandpaper. Oops; that time, “feels” is an action verb.
Also, if you can reverse the sentence, it’s a linking verb:
John is the President. The President is John.
But not: John feels the sandpaper. The sandpaper feels John.
