or 1 can short of a six pack,

or 1 brick shy of a full load,

or their elevator does not go to the top floor,

or they are not hitting on all cylinders.

I could go on and on, I think you get the point.

Simply stated, “dim”–not bright….and “wit”–intellect….

Refers to someone that either asks “dumb” questions, or does a lot of speaking without saying much.

And, unfortunately, to be hurtful….it’s calling someone stupid.
