Are oral reports supposed to be written a certain way?

I have an oral report due in two days, but I’m not sure how to format it. My instructor did not specify any particular format, so I’m a bit unsure.

Does the Modern Language Association (MLA) state guidelines in their standards for oral reports? If so, I would appreciate a link to a reputable source for the formatting requirements.

I will give consider the earliest answers better, unless they are completely useless. Ten points are waiting for the first ‘good’ answer. Thanks in advance!

The thing about oral reports is that they are presented orally – you speak them. If your instructor asked for you to hand in your outline, I suggest you either create a speaking outline:

or a full sentence outline:

If your instructor didn’t indicate a format, it probably doesn’t matter to her/him what you choose. Make sure it looks neat, clear, and that you can present from it confidently.

Format it so that it is clear and concise.

Proof reading by another is useful because it picks up errors that you may have missed.

If it is oral it probably means you have to present it orally, like you have to remember a speech.
