its to learn different aspects of the business world. Finance, law, ethics, technology, administration, entrepreneurship,and other facets of the business world.
Some colleges offer specific degrees for those areas, some offer general business where you learn all the areas, and some offer both.

Absolutly not, I ran a graphics shop for over 10 years. Once the people see your work, it doesn’t matter if you have a degree or not. All you need to do is get a DBA (doing business as) and if your selling products, a tax ID number. I do recomend some reading first, get a book called Cash Flow Quadrant and read that before you start any business. GL

A business degree helps one to understand the inner working of business – which is helpful in tending to ones own business. However: 1) in ones own business one should be a subject-matter-expert i.e. know how to repair shoes to open a cobbler’s shop; 2) most business majors go into larger companies and make the decisions which the working people sit around and wonder, “which moron thought that up?”

Nope. A business degree is to help you better understand the complex world of business, to help you find a place in the business world and to prepare you for a leadership role. Sometimes that translates into starting your own business (a degree in business administration is priceless for entrepreneurs) but more often it gives you entre into the corporate business world.

NO IT MEANS YOU CAN WORK IN ANY PLACE THAT REQUIRES A BUSINESS DEGREE, BECAUSE YOU WOULD HAVE LEARNED ABOUT ANY KIND OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT WHILE GETTING YOUR DEGREE.
