Would moving a lot…?

I have very high grades and live in the United States. I have lived in many other places, including Israel, which I left before the beginning of third grade. Now, we’re moving to the Netherlands. My question is: Will moving around a lot (and still retaining good grades) give me an edge when trying to get accepted to university?

Also, I want to study in the UK…will moving give me an edge not just for colleges in the united states but also in other countries?

It should give you some extra consideration from a US college admissions office. College admissions officers like to see people with a broad background of experiences, which living in different countries has given you, because it adds diversity to their student population. Also, it demonstrates your ability to not only survive, but thrive in diverse settings, you are adaptable. Good Luck.

I’m not sure about giving you an edge, unless you write an amazing essay about all your travels during the application process. Definitely focus on keeping your grades up.
