Wondering something about college?
I was wondering if I should move down to where I wanna go to college to first and live there for a while before going to college and become a resident so that way I don’t have to pay out-of-state tuition or should I just go down there and go to college straight off the bat and pay out-of-state tuition?

Most of the time you have to live in the state for about 4+ years before you are able to say that you live in-state.
My advice?
If you REALLY want to go to an out-state school, start working on those scholarships now. I suggest not waiting 4 years to just gain residency.
It’s been my experience (as the wife of someone who went to an out-of-state school) to try to stay in-state unless you are given an incredible scholarship. My husband went for 5 years to Purdue and now we have a $30K student loan debt.
