The answer to your question lies within you. It will be good for you if you have the right attitude and make it good for you. Stretch yourself.

As for making friends, that’s not what school is for. You might make a few friends, but a lot of people there also have jobs and families and aren’t looking to make friends.

College is for learning, at all ages! It isn’t like high school – no one cares what year you’re in; no one cares how old (or young) you are. What matters is how you apply yourself to your studies. From your question (and explanation about working to save $$), you’ll do great in college.
