GENETICS & Blood transfusion?

We know each cell contains genes in it.

Now suppose a person has been in the recipient end of a blood transfusion process.

My question: Does that mean that this person receives a DIFFERENT GENETIC make-up from the donor of those blood cells? Does that mean it changes the recipient’s personality?

Only expert answers please….and puh-leez forgive my ignorance for I have no background in biology. 🙂

Thank you.

Red blood cells don’t contain a nucleus, which contains your DNA. Even if they did, red blood cells don’t divide and multiply and have a short life span, so if they did contain any DNA, it would shortly be eliminated from your system.

And EVEN if the DNA stayed in your system, DNA acts to influence your personality and characteristics as you are being formed in the fetus and early childhood (via protein levels), and the presence of other DNA within your system wouldn’t alter these effects. Your characteristics are only altered if foreign DNA is incorporated into your own DNA, and this generally only occurs in very small quantities, eg for a specific gene (ie code for one protein). Your personality and characteristics such as hair colour are usually influenced by the action of many, many genes and the interactions between them, so a change of some DNA within a single gene is unlikely to have a significant effect.

on condition which you have been married to him and he had not signed the scientific directive all JWs are meant to hold with them (forbidding total blood transfusions), could desire to you supply permission (if he replaced into subconscious). Any grownup who takes a determination on such concerns has to have his needs respected by the scientific profession. that is purely almost about minors that others could desire to take judgements, and parental refusal could be over-ruled by the Courts. apparently his mom could do each little thing achievable to keep away from him getting one, probable by asserting she knew his needs and that he does not prefer one. If not something is asserted in writing by him, it is going to be a messy clutter. yet while he nevertheless needs to refuse blood while he’s not a working in the direction of JW, you’re able to be sure that the religion has a company carry on him. he’s amazingly probable to re-connect them at a later point in his life. that could make your place fairly difficult. the suitable project you are able to desire to do could be to be sure the biblical motives as to why God does not require martyrs to the blood transfusion ‘reason’, and coach him from the Bible. in spite of everything, the JW stance is basically theological and extremely isn’t consistent with any scientific motives in any respect. digital mail me in case you prefer information.
