why do highschoolers on yahoo answers worry so much?

i’m going to be a junior in HS this fall. yes, i have asked quite a few questions about college myself, but seriously, college isn’t a make or break situation! every single day, i log on, and i see questions like “WILL I GET INTO HARVARD???? PLEASE HELP!!!” and answers like “no, you’re not diverse enough, blah blah blah”. why are we KIDS stressing out so much? college is NOT the end or beginning of our lives, it’s just going to be a PART of it. besides, sure, big name colleges will give you a leg up for a while, but when it comes down to it, what matters is what’s inside of YOU, not what harvard, yale, or princeton can put into your head! i have examples of very successful people all around me (including my cousin, an investor) who’s paychecks are PRETTY FAT, yet they didn’t graduate from one of the top 10 schools on U.S. News (heck, my cousin graduated from a community college!) my point is, take it easy guys. this isn’t really a question, it’s just what’s been on my mind for a while.

I think it’s the fact that this is one of the first major step of being on their own. Moving away from home, going to a new place, meeting new friends, learning a new way of studying and learning, who wouldn’t be scared or concerned or excited.

I think it’s the fact that these people need some reassurance more than anything.

Man young adulthood is hard. You’re like what is the point to life? Why the heck am I here? What is the point in me going to college? Why didn’t I do this and that? I’d be scared if I was you and stressed out. Young adulthood sucks. Bills. Marriage. Jobs. Cars. Credit. It sucks. I wish I was back in high school.

No. Yahoo 360 sucked, and with social networking web content like MySpace and facebook available, Yahoo desperate to easily eliminate it. There are not the different stable web content like solutions, so as that they are going to probable shop it.

yeah i dont see why people stress so much about college. but yes i do post questions about college myself but still some people ask questions like if a 2319 is a good SAT score?? wtf! after high school is much harder i think. like having a job, bills, marriage and all that. no one has to go to harvard to be successful. after all oprah is a billionaire and she didnt go to a ivy league. and bill gates dropped out of college. ha!
