Which major would you choose and why?
Accounting or Biology
I eventually want to live in a small town.

Granted, most of the best jobs will require a master’s degree, while with accounting you might find it easier to get a job with a bachelor’s degree and even better options once you become a Certified Public Accountant.
Go with what you find most interesting because that’s what’s going to help you make money since you’ll be more passionate about it and it’ll give you a sense of fulfillment later on.

Accountants are a dime a dozen, but the truth is that accountants can get jobs anywhere, as long as you’re willing to settle for a fairly low income.
CPAs can get higher paying jobs, not just in public accounting, but the years devoted to the qualification, and the continual up-keep for the designation may or may not be worth it to you.
Have you already chosen a small town? There are many companies with research plants located in or just outside small towns, all across the country. If you haven’t chosen your desired living destination, just remember that companies move in and out of areas often.
Government contractor and biotech firms always need cross-over personnel, too.
